Hello friends! Its Breezy here, and i wanted to promote awareness. Today, September 10th, is World Suicide Prevention Day. This week is meant to bring notice to those who suffer with depression and suicidal thoughts. BUT! Everyday people should be preventing suicide.
Unfortunately, most people dont. As a survivor of suicide, I want to extend a personal thank you to all those who fight for loved ones with depression and suicidal thoughts. You are warriors. In the time i had, no one stood by my side to help me. It lead to a suicide attempt. THIS is what happens when you let that girl sit by herself on the playground and in the lunchroom. That boy that you leave out of sports. The kid you shove in the hallways. They dont deserve that kind of treatment. They may reach out to the darkest solution as an escape. DONT be one of the causes for this. Please, if you know someone who may be cutting, or suffering from depression, reach out to them. They may try to push you away, but they will appreciate you. Whether its today, tomorrow, or next year. They will appreciate that you SAVED THEM. I am aware that this may seem random and mildly sad, but i felt this journal was necessary. Thanks for reading. Take time to save a life. All it takes is a simple "Hello"
